Regular Decision

Regular Decision applicants who are applying for financial aid should submit the Financial Aid PROFILE as soon as possible after January 1 and before February 15. The Gettysburg College Code Number for the PROFILE is 2275.

In addition to the PROFILE, Regular Decision applicants must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after January 1 and before February 15. The Gettysburg College federal school code for the FAFSA is 003268. If there is not enough space on the FAFSA for all the institutions you have under consideration, other schools can be added after initial processing by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-4-FEDAID or by using the FAFSA website.

If you prefer to complete the FAFSA by mail, a paper version can be obtained by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-4-FEDAID.  Students may request up to three copies and should receive the FAFSAs in three to seven business days.

The FAFSA and PROFILE should be completed by the parent with whom the student resides (custodial parent). Step-parent income and asset data must be included on the FAFSA and PROFILE.

If the custodial parent or step-parent of applicants for fall admission owns a business or farm, the Business/Farm Supplement must also be completed.

Information from the non-custodial parent is not necessary.

Regular Decision applicants will receive a financial aid decision with their admissions acceptance letter if the PROFILE and FAFSA are on file in the Office of Financial Aid. Otherwise the financial aid decision will be made as soon as possible after the analyses are received by the College.

Students who enroll at Gettysburg College are expected to provide copies of the federal tax returns and W-2 Forms for themselves and their parents along with a Verification Worksheet. Details will be provided with the Financial Aid Award Notification.
