Parents Advisory Board
Advising: The PAB seeks the involvement of its members in ways that complement the programs of the College's administrative offices and other volunteer organizations. Members of the PAB are informed about College activities, policies, programs, concerns, and plans for future development. The PAB provides parents a means to express observations, suggestions, or concerns about College programs, plans, and student life issues.
Advocacy: The PAB advocates on behalf of the College and PAB members are ambassadors for the College. They represent Gettysburg College to qualified prospective students and families, fostering the success of Gettysburg College students after graduating through participation in career development programs, host events for the Gettysburg College community, and participating in many on- and off-campus opportunities.
Advancement: PAB members participate in the annual Gettysburg College Parents Fund effort during each fiscal year (June 1 - May 31) at Cupola Society levels. Members of the PAB foster a close relationship between parents and the College, creating and maintaining mutual understanding and good will in an effort to share the importance of providing financial support for Gettysburg in order to meet the needs of the College.
